This year’s rally call for the event is to ‘Shop Local, Eat Global’ as the festival is set to showcase the very best of local produce from across the Horsham District, alongside the very best of internationally inspired street food.
This year Horsham’s popular town centre food and drink festival focusses on local, artisan producers and will feature a range of high quality food and drink to take home, to cook with and to eat and drink on the day.
Expect a selection of guest appearances from local food heroes as well as some of your favourite market regulars.
Throughout the day stallholders will be giving a series of short presentations, masterclasses and tastings at their stall.
Learn about wild mushrooms, local cheeses, the art of pizza making and the health benefits of kombucha tea and enjoy the chance to taste tutored rum, mead, a great selection of gin and beers.
With a range of sensational street food, pop up bars and live music on the bandstand, we want you to Feast Horsham!
A full programme of events and participants will be announced prior to the day.
Commenting on the return of the popular event, Horsham District Council Cabinet Member for the Local Economy Cllr Chris Brown said:
I am really pleased that this popular event is back and that so many local food and drink producers have signed up to showcase their products and share them with the many visitors who will come along.
“It very much supports our ongoing “Buy Local” business initiatives to rebuild our local economy as we now emerge from lockdown.
“This is the perfect event to promote these hardworking local businesses who have continued to thrive despite unprecedented difficult trading times recently.
“I would urge as many of you as possible to visit the festival, enjoy all that’s on offer and have a great day out.”
The Big Nibble event is being delivered this year by Horsham District Council’s contracted market operator Food Rocks.
