Horsham Rural City Council’s Cllr Pam Clarke from Horsham, Australia took the opportunity, whilst on holiday in the area with her husband Michael, to drop in on her counterparts at Horsham District Council in the UK last week (week commencing 26 August).
Cllr Clarke, a former Mayor of the Rural City Council, was on holiday here for the first time. It was her husband Michael’s’ first opportunity to return to the UK since he emigrated from Ramsgate in Kent at the age of nine in 1962.
The Australian guests were hosted by Glen Chipp, Chief Executive of Horsham District Council, Chairman of the Council Cllr Kate Rowbottom, Director of Place Barbara Childs and Community Services Director Adam Chalmers.
