Christmas 2020 was the second year running where Horsham's Christmas lights included a custom-made decoration manufactured by Gala Lights and designed by a child from Horsham.
Our judges chose Harry's 'Rainbow Christmas Tree and Shooting Star' from the many excellent entries received because they loved how he had combined rainbows with traditional Christmas decorations. Harry was still only four years old when he created his design.
The Coronavirus pandemic dominated life in 2020, and throughout this challenging year, the rainbow was a symbol of hope and thanks. Children have been creating them for window displays in support of the NHS.
Harry's design joined 'Tree Rex' (the 2019 winning design) on The Forum with his family, friends, our judges, and a representative from Horsham District Council took part in the 'Switching On ceremony.
We at Visit Horsham were keen to ensure that ALL eligible entries submitted went on show in the Horsham Town Centre. To achieve this, we collated all the designs and produced graphics that Horsham District Council used to create tree wraps for display in the Carfax.
The original graphics are available on the 'Downloads' section at the bottom of this page (the file is quite larges, so may take a few seconds to display).
