In 2017 Horsham Community Responders created a campaign to convert an old disused phone box into a public access defibrillator.
Located opposite M&J news on East Street at the corner of Park Place, the phonebox required around £3000 to complete the conversion.
Visit Horham got behind the campaign, and many of our members generously donated. In addition, our friends at Screen Social broadcast an appeal on their screens, and we continued to make posts updating on the progress towards the target, which encouraged further donations.
It didn't take long to reach the target, and after completion of the necessary red-tape, the renovation and conversion went ahead.
