As Horsham entered the 21st Century, Horsham in Bloom commissioned bronze artist Hanna Holmes (now Hannah Stewart) to create a lasting tribute in Horsham park to mark the new millennium.
The Horsham in Bloom committee choose to represent a legend that would be very familiar to many of Horsham's residents. For generations, many believed that Nearby St Leonard's Forest was home to a dragon.
As its name suggests, the resulting St Leonard's Forest Dragon Maze features a bronze statue of a dragon situated at the center of a hedge maze.
The maze is of sufficient height and size to make it a popular and fun challenge for young children while being an enjoyable feature for all ages.
