I am a Piano Teacher with over 45 years' experience who offers online lessons for Piano and Theory of Music.
Having had a successful Piano Studio in Horsham , I changed to online lessons when the Covid epidemic arrived. Many of my pupils continued with me and found online lessons were far more convenient for them. No travelling and finding somewhere to park , learning on their own instrument and far more flexibility with times. They all say there is no difference than face to face and with the use of an extra camera I can show different angles to help demonstrate technique. Also not being exposed to germs in a small space is an advantage. You do not need any special equipment. A laptop/iPad or tablet are best showing a side view of you and the keyboard. A digital or acoustic piano are fine. Some people start with a small keyboard but soon upgrade to a full size with weighted keys. I can advise on what to get.
Pupils play for pleasure or can take exams with ABRSM and Trinity exam boards if they wish. A lot of my pupils are adults, beginners or people returning to play the piano after many years. We learn many different styles and lessons are guided by what type of music you are interested in playing.
All lessons are one to one, no pre recorded videos.
Lessons are paid four lessons in advance. There is an Introductory Offer of the first four 30 minute lessons for £50.00. Further lessons are £72.00 for the four lessons.
I offer a free consultation/taster meeting via Zoom so we can discuss your interests, how to set up Zoom for music lessons and anything else you wish to ask before committing to lessons.
