Collyer's College

About Collyer's College:

The College

Sixth Form College of some 1700 full-time students aged between 16 and 19 years. It was founded in 1532 under the terms of the will of a prominent member of the Mercers’ Company in the City of London. Our links with the foundation remain, as does our original purpose to provide free education for young people in Horsham and the surrounding area. A governing body, which includes the Vicar of Horsham and representatives of the Mercers’ Company, maintains the association with the parish and the Company.

Educating for excellence

Collyer’s is committed to providing excellent education for the success of every student. We focus on the needs of 16-19 year olds, providing a well-resourced college environment that encourages learning. Top priority is placed on high quality support and guidance to students in their academic and personal development. We promote an inclusive culture that values every member of the college. Our well-qualified staff aim to prepare students to learn through exciting and challenging teaching, aided by first class facilities and modern learning technology.
